Hunting
Mule deer and elk hunting are popular pastimes in Central Oregon. Deer are plentiful in the county, but elk are more elusive. For bird hunters, the county boasts a respectable population of pheasant, doves, quail and waterfowl. Before hunting or fishing, be sure to contact the Oregon Department of Fish and Game for regulations and licensing requirements.
