Higher Education

Central Oregon Community College
Dedicated to providing students with an outstanding college experience, Central Oregon Community College (COCC) tailors each of its programs to student’s needs. A new Madras campus opened in the Fall 2011. With the main campus located in Bend, students enjoy small class sizes and one-on-one attention whether they are interested in basic adult education classes, fulfilling an associate’s degree or planning on receiving a four-year degree. A satellite location in Redmond offers select credit classes and a complete Manufacturing and Applied Technology Center (MATC). MATC allows students to choose the time and days of the week to participate in a supervised manufacturing lab.

OSU Cascade Campus
The Oregon State University Cascade Campus opened in 2001 to provide four-year degrees, in conjunction with COCC (2+2), to residents in Central Oregon. A branch campus of OSU, the Cascade Campus offers 15 undergraduate programs and two graduate programs, all fully accredited.

Community Learning
Central Oregon Community College offers a wide selection of non-credit continued learning classes throughout the year. Topics include arts & crafts, health & fitness, recreation, language & culture, home & garden and computers. Classes are also available at a variety of locations in Central Oregon.

Oregon Open Campus
A pilot program has been launched to provide advanced education courses to meet specific educational needs of local businesses. These courses are a hybrid of remote and classroom learning with course instruction supplied by numerous higher education institutions.
